BKS's HomeProductSelector iPhone App is a curated database of OVER 5000 product manufacturers organized by product category. The database gives homeowners the ability to find and compare like products and materials throughout the construction process from “idea to completion”. The app also gives the user the ability to sort product manufacturers who have green product offerings.
The HomeProductSelector App will be available through the iTunes Appstore in May, 2017.
The HomeProductSelector website uses the same database as the iPhone app with OVER 5000 product manufacturers organized by product category. The online database gives homeowners the ability to find and compare like products and materials throughout the construction process from “idea to completion”. In today’s “internet of things” it is still quite difficult to find relevant information about the latest building products. A quick internet search can provide some options but by no means all of the information needed to make a decision and a proper selection. Without a reliable source that curates companies and their products, and cuts through the hype and provides information that helps in the product selection process, building professionals and owners are left to their own devises or must depend on the contractors hired to do their project.
The HomeProductSelector website is live now.
